Great car but expensive to fix
By Connie | on 4/6/2022 12:33:59 AM
Loved this car because of its reputation for safety, comfort, and dependability. It's been the family hauler for almost eight (8) years and has done well. The only complaint I have is that it's really, really, expensive to fix when things go wrong. Unfortunately, it started using oil at 50,000 miles - which we have been able to work around by adding a quart between oil changes. The real challenge, however, is how expensive it is to fix when things break. I was recently told that the exhaust system and catalytic converter may go and it's a $5,000 fix. Ouch. I figure that anytime I need to replace something, e.g., brakes, a front bearing, the serpentine belt, etc. it's going to be $1,000 repair. Fortunately, I only get a couple of those a year which makes fixing it cheaper than replacing the car. I really wish Volvo still made this car as I believe it was one (1) of their best sellers. If they did, I would buy it again.… - 5.0

Inspired to buy another
By 2 Volvo owner | on 3/30/2022 4:09:28 AM
This has been an excellent vehicle and at over 135,000 miles is still running strong. It's the Premium Plus version. It's quiet inside and the T6 engine is quite fast, but lousy on gas. (Good thing it's 87 octane.) Like this one so much that last summer we bought a 2016 Platinum version of the XC70.…
